Matt and Stephanie

We're looking to adopt a baby

Hello! We are Matt and Stephanie. We are so grateful to you for considering us in your search to find loving parents for your child.

Our story began all the way back on our first day of law school, when we happened to sit next to each other in class. We built a solid friendship that semester and remained friends throughout law school. After graduation, Matt moved to Chicago for his job while Stephanie stayed in St. Louis. But despite the fast pace of our careers, we kept in touch. Matt eventually left his job to pursue writing and was living in Park City, Utah. One year, when he came back home to St. Louis for Thanksgiving, we decided to grab dinner together. Well, that turned out to be a very important dinner, because before the weekend was over, Stephanie had scheduled a trip to Utah to visit him!

Over the next year and a half, we dated long-distance, and eventually, we moved in together in Colorado. We got a dog–an 18-month old rescue–and planned our wedding. Sadly, COVID got in the way. So, we just went to the courthouse with our parents and formally started our lives together!

As a couple, we have a clear vision of our future family, which includes one child. However, Stephanie started menopause early, so natural childbirth is both very unlikely and potentially dangerous. Therefore, we made the decision to pursue adoption and cannot wait to bring a child into our lives!
